Help with HDMI cable

I have a HDMI cable running from Virgin HD Box to Panasonic TV.
At least 3-4 times daily, the picture just disappears, although the sound is still there.
I have to then stretch behind the TV and 'wiggle' the HDMI cable going into the TV until the picture reappears again.
The HDMI was given to me by the engineer who fitted the HD as a favour, he told me it was the best cable and that it retails around £50 in the shops!
Is this just a case of a rubbish cable?
(When I originally had the TV set up to the old box via scart, never had a problem)

It could be a faulty cable.
Best try another cable.0 -
we have our dvd home cinema system connected to the tv with a hdmi cable. it sounds like we get the same problem. the way we deal with it is to turn the tv off and on again. just do it with the remote, there is no need to turn it off at the wall. i hope it works for you.
we got our cable from argos, the brand is wharfedale.0
