digital will

Options
I have paid £1.50 for the digital will service, I am wondering how I access this? Is it emailed to me, or do I have to log-in somewhere. It wasn't clear on the form how this would be 'delivered' to me. Thanks.

I think you'll need to tell us what you mean by "the digital will service".

£1.50 very cheap are you sure there are not going to be further payments deducted keep an eye out

  • on gov.uk there's an option for 'postal delivery' or 'digital' of a will/probate you're looking up. I chose the digital option as the time frame was quicker.

OK, so you are requesting a copy of an existing will and not to create a will which your title would likely have led people to think you meant.

    From the Gov website

How to get your copy grant and/or will.

You won’t be able to access the grant/will straight after ordering it. You will get an email confirming your order but this will not mean that your copy is ready to be downloaded.

You will get an email when it is ready to download. You will then be able to log in to the system and go to “My Wills” and save each available item to your computer. After you have logged in, the copy will be available for 31 days, so make sure that you save it before then.

If you have ordered more than one grant or will, then they may be ready to download at different times. You’ll get an email when each one is ready.

Some of the grants and wills are quite old so may not be in very good condition. The scanned copy of the grant or will that you receive will be the best quality available.

Haven't used it for a year or more as they messed up the "improvements" but I had to log in and download the wills from the site.

Presumably you signed in using an email address and password? Just go back in.

Last lot took a matter of days. Do double check what you get, though. Twice they gave me the wrong will/or only part of the will. They did respond to complaints but didn't alert me to the fact that they'd rectified them. There was a warning email about documents not downloaded by the time limit, or I'd not have spotted the corrections.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • Thank you for your replies especially 400ixl. Happy weekend.
