Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Apparently the sun has taken his hat off here so we can expect a dismal day. But he will put it back on tomorrow according to the weatherman.
Yesterday ended up a day of sloth as I just couldn't get motivated to do anything/ Today I must try harder and get off my arris as the Friday Tidy awaits.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. NAN belated good wishes for your anniversary and dad's birthday. That's a good age. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Good morning, don't know what the weather is doing here, yesterday was an ok day.
We went to the funeral and it went off as well as these things do.
I want to nip out to our High street this morning, we have a shop that has a good haberdashery section and I want to look at Christmas trimmings.
That's about it for today.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day, take care.14 -
Morning all, thanks for starting us off @Scarlet.The red cabbage was made yesterday, the smell of it cooking is so lovely, unlike green cabbage. Today I'll do a final taste test, portion it up and put most in the freezer. Definitely! I also spoke to my solicitor about changes I want to make to my will. She was very good and sent through a draft later in the evening. One minor omission was passing on ownership of a lair (burial plot), can't see anyone using it but it needs sorted. Other changes are more substantial and I'm still contemplating them. This morning I'm taking a friend shopping again whilst her husband is still laid up. It should be a fine journey. When I get back I'll make some soup. I've bought celery to see if it makes a difference, I really hope that I won't be able to taste it.Hugs to all. Thanks to @Ruby for the totally fabulous photos of the Mars installation. 💕12

Morning all. Dull here but have hopes for sunshine later.
I'm on my second cup of tea but Mr WL is drinking his in bed and having a lie in after his hospital procedure yesterday. All went well but he was finished far sooner than we expected so I had to stop doing childcare and drive over to collect him before lunch. Luckily both DD and DSiL work from their home office but they are both extremely busy atm.
DD doesn't work Fridays and it's an Inset day at school so she's coming over here today so DSiL come have peace at home. She was saying I never ask her to help with anything so I've saved her the task of setting up my new laptopWe'll probably walk up into town and have a toasted teacake then potter around.
Am planning to roast one of my h/g butternut squashes tonight to have with some salmon. Hope I'm not disappointed.
Best wishes to all. Happy Friday.

Morning everyone
It's dull here this morning, hopefully it will cheer up a bit later.
Last day of before a week off today - I'm really ready for it. We've had a good half-term with or new manager, I'm really pleased as I wasn't sure how it would work out.
DD just sent me a lovely picture of little one, she has put 2 buns at the front of her hair and covered them with orange tissue paper so they look like little pumpkins. They are going round to school to assembly and little one is going to stand up and tell everyone why they are raising money. I'll call at theirs later to show her my very dodgy pink wig!
Better get a move on. Hope everyone has a good day x12 -
Morning all
Its a bit dull and overcast here with rain due later, I am off to have my nails done this morning and then taking OH to collect his new car - he is very excited, it’s about an hour away so I’m hoping to be back around 3 ish.
Dinner tonight will be scampi and chips with peas nice quick shove in the oven type which is nice on a Friday. I need to put a wash on this morning and hoover, I hoover most days due to big dog shedding, she has mainly white hair which show on the wooden floors downstairs.
Gers I am glad you liked them I thought it was stunning xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -

Morning allJust sitting down having a coffee after food shopping. It feels quite mild out there this morning so I think I'll go into the garden later. A few things to move around and some spring bulbs to plantA result yesterday with my flat tyre. Man came round and said he could repair it instead of having a brand new tyre so that was a nice surprise and, obviously, cheaper too. Been out in the car this morning and all's well :-)Hope everyone has a good day x12

Hi all
Read all but can’t remember much other than DP1s little one’s 🎃 buns! 🥰
setting up for my weekend craft fair this afternoon - it’ll be less stress than doing it in a rush in the morning though it’s an extra afternoon and round trip.Happy Friday everyone

Gers, just use half a stick to tart and if you have a whizzy thing, whizz it to fine in that, or chop very small.
