How can I tidy cables to TV on wall?

  • Trunking will look almost as bad.  Get a nice corner unit that fits under the TV.  That will hide everything and look much better than a load of trunking all over the walls.
I'd go one further than this.  Remove the tv from the wall and stand it ON the nice unit.

Wall mounted tvs always remind me of a Dr's surgery.
I would have been fine with this however the Mrs wasn’t and of course I was over ruled…
  • A little curtain on a rod mounted under the TV would hide all the wires, and would look great! 😉

Strange - I would have thought that wall hung tvs were more of a bloke thing.  Mr S knows better than to suggest this...

How's your DIY? Are you able to chase the wall (create grooves), add conduit & cables before plastering over it?

A short length of quarter-round conduit, painted the wall's emulsion colour, and with a low unit sat there to cover the sockets (if wished), would be 90% there.
A rounded profile conduit wouldn't cast a sharp shadow, so you'd barely notice it - and wouldn't consider it offensive if you did.

  • You could get an electrician to chase it in with a wall chaser. Or hire one and do it yourself, but you need to establish where the power cables and other ones run, even if it looks obvious.

    Check out r/TVtoohigh on reddit!

I would recommend getting the TV off that wall and on a unit at eye level

One of the wires could be disguised as a string of sausages.
