This sounds like sensational fake news created by a newspaper and I have said so, but the person who told me is quite emphatic that it's true and just won't stop talking about it! But when asked to show me the report, they cannot find news reports on their phone after being viewed.
Does anyone know anything about this? I need to shut this nonsense down quick.0 -
I believe you can also get points and be fined for forgetting to post a letter.
I read a report where a driver was given a letter which his boss had asked him to post on his way home from work. He forgot to post it and it was not until he was driving to work the next morning that he noticed the letter still on his passenger seat. He knew it was important so he picked up his phone and rang the recipient to tell them it was on its way.
A patrol car spotted him and he got a £200 fine and six points - all because he forgot to post a letter.
