Red cabbage chopped up, apple too and all in the pot. I remembered that I had a little jug of pork fat in the fridge so used that instead of lard. My late DM always saved the fat from meat to use again, another hangover from the lean years. My favourite belly pork always leaves a large amount of fat behind. This jug has been in the fridge for about two months. One of my favourite mugs has developed a chip on the rim. It's the last one of a set of four I bought in the original Habitat yoinks ago so I'm sad to see it damaged. I'll keep it a bit longer.@Mehefin - I'm so glad that you've identified where the jewellery will be. It'll have been nagging on your mind. My DM had two drawers of scarves, she loved to accessorise every outfit. I let some of her friends chose one or two and gave the rest to a CS.@SO - enjoy your walk and talk, I hope that it's giving you a little peace.11

Hello all, lunch out was lovely yesterday but the portions were huge and I had to leave quite a bit of it. I had hm beef pie, potatoes and veg and a hm curry for Mr Fix It, the chef does a really good comfort food menu, none of that fancy small portion stuff.
It's actually our anniversary today but as it's also Dad's 95th birthday we decided to spend some time with him, hence having our meal yesterday. We'll go up this morning with his presents, card and a birthday cake.
I have the wm on but I'm in 2 minds whether to hang it out or not before I go out, such decision.
Camelot I hope you get an answer very soon, it sounds really painful. Hugs
TA glad you got through yesterday ok.
Hugs to the poorly ones today. Take care all, stay safe and warm.

Morning all
Its a lovely bright day here and meant to get up to 16 deg, I have some washing just finishing and I will hang it on the line for a while.
I still feel ropey and had such a bad nights sleep that I only got up just before 10, never mind I don’t have much to do today I need to get the dogs out for a walk and then read through the draft wills that the solicitor has sent and check all is in order and that’s all I have to do really apart from some washing and running the hoover round.
Camelot ouch that sounds painful when I has gallstones the pain was in my shoulder same as Gers I hope they get to the bottom of it soon xx
Gers the mars exhibition was truly stunning if you pm me your email I will send you some of the photos I took xxx

Camelot, ouch. My pain went from my stomach through to my back, it's a horrible thing. One of my gallstones was huge (I don't know why they insist on giving them to you, maybe yo prove the op is necessary).
I did write a post yesterday but lost it. Steve saw the top bod again at the hospital and has been moved to annual checks. We were out very speedily from the appointment but then had to wait two hours at the pharmacy.
Need to go and pick up children.8 -
Hello everyone
I'm late as I had to go shopping before work this morning. I got a nice chicken satay with sticky rice reduced in M and S which I've just had for my tea, not worth the full price though.
I'm shattered as I've done extra at work this week, we had a Halloween party yesterday after nursery - it was loud! Last day tomorrow, then it's half term.
Little one hasn't been at school all week as she hasn't eaten much since Monday and DD had to put her back on her feeding pump. When she came home from hospital DD started fund raising for the ward she was on all summer, to help the play nurse buy more toys...so tomorrow school are having a crazy hair day to help with the fundraising. She's planning on taking her round for assembly and to see everyones' hairstyles in the morning.
Hopefully after the holidays she'll get back to school properly.
Can't remember if I said DD got a cat on Tuesday, just 9 months old so still a kitten really. She adopted her from a rescue place in Spain who flew her to Germany....DD is thrilled...lots of photos and videos.
Right I'm going to get washed up and my pyjamas on x
