Car Finance

Car Finance is in my name and payments come out of my account but the car is with my ex girlfriend and she has stopped paying the payments.  What are my options I have sent messages and no reply or payment.

    Is the loan secured to the vehicle, PCP, HP or Lease?

    Do you have any written agreement with your ex?

    Who is the registered keeper and who pays the insurance?

    How did you get into this situation? Was the finance company aware?

    Presumably you weren't married?

    If the payments come out of your account presumably they've not actually stopped, you're just not receiving the funds to cover them? Stopping payments yourself might impact your credit rating and cause ongoing problems so worth avoiding if you can.
    Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

    I  would go & reclaim the car is they are not paying.

    Depending on the type of finance this could be a breech of the T/C of the finance as well...
