I was in a similar situation. My brother was insisting on estate accounts. I figured that since the estate had not been finalised they were not available.  It had not been finalised because he had put a caveat on the probate application, so it was his fault they were not completed. I spoke to a solicitor friend and he confirmed I was correct. I wrote and told him this and said I would not enter into any correspondence with him about this.

Thank you for the advice we did send a letter to say that the estate accounts could not be filed because the estate was not finalised, so if anyone else is in this situation I suggest you do the same.

Thanks for coming back, did it eliminate the harassment and bullying?

How did you resolve the other issues, pressure upon your brother via his children and pressure to sell the house below value?

Have you finalised administration of the estate with beneficiaries at least informed even if not content?

I sent a solicitors letter informing that any further harassment would be met with legal action for defamation as another beneficiary showed me their disgraceful texts to them. Thankfully all the beneficiaries are on my side. However now my sister who is also an adminsitrator is playing games and is trying to sell the house below market value to her daughter. I have started another thread on this. This process is an absolute nightmare, I just do not understand why people cannot just follow the law.

So you now have two siblings who are trying to get the house "cheap" for their own children?

You say "all the beneficiaries" are on your side, so how many others are there, excluding yourself and the two siblings you've mentioned?
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)
