Body sent to wrong funeral home by care services.

It must depend on the Undertakers.
When I found my Mum after she died unexpectedy I called for an Ambulance. They turned up, clearly not able to do anything. They called her GP, then waited with me until the Police arrived. The Police satisfied themselves that nothing untoward had gone on, then called an Undertaker to collect the body.
We chose to use the services of a different Undertaker; they arranged collection of the body, and there was no charge from either party.0 -

a friend works for the care industry and she goes to a client and they have died she has to stay with the body until either a ambulance arrives or a doctor before a funeral firm can be used
