If this case is going to run, suggest you start a new thread of your own so we can give bespoke answers rather than trying to answer two different cases on the same thread - even though the OP's case was won.

OK thanks for the advice and support, I'll start a new thread if I receive something from the court within 6 years.

Understood. I wasn’t sure who “them” referred to, but I assume it’s Smart Parking. Based on this page I should inform Smart Parking and the debt recovery team as soon as I move home.: "However, do reply to the debt collectors if you've moved home recently and there's a chance they may now have two addresses for you. This may be the case if, for example, you've recently moved and not updated your address with the DVLA. The firms having two addresses for you can result in you missing key correspondences (including official court documents), which can have serious consequences.
Contact the debt company and parking firm and tell them to delete your old address and to only use your new one. Do this if you move again within six years of the Parking Charge Notice (within five years in Scotland), as the 'statute of limitations' for contract debts is six years (five in Scotland), meaning after this time you can no longer be chased for the debt." This is indeed the situation I would like to avoid: to miss a letter before claim and then being incorrectly treated as having provided no answer.0 -
It wont be from any court. !
It would be either
1 a Letter of Claim ( LBC or LoC ) giving you 30 days notice to respond
And/Or
2 an N1SDT court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL, a Money Claim
County courts are involved a lot further into the process
