Hi all,
I'm planning on retiring early within the next 2 years (yippee!!), but could do with advice on exactly how to achieve this. I have many 'pots' and investments and am thinking that I could do with independent financial advice. Whats the best way forward in regards to honest, independent advice?
Thx Mia

Are they really 'pots' (defined contribution pensions) or could some be defined benefit pensions?1 -
I started out by putting everything that I knew (or thought I knew) on a spreadsheet so I could thing about overall figures.
Then I talked to the Pension Service to get some broad info.
Then I talked to an info person from one of my pension schemes to get some more.
AND then I talked to some different IFAs asking questions based on what I'd found out. Their quality of answers made it easier to decide who I wanted to talk to further. fyi - they all generally will offer at least 1 hour free to discuss - basically a get to know you, sell you something chat.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards.
