. I know VLS100 is more 'UK' weighted than S&P500, and I realise you could weigh up having more than one ETF to try and replicate that.
The S&P500 is a US stockmarket index. Its not that VLS100 is more UK weighted. Its that the S&P500 has no UK weighting at all and no global weighting either. Just US equity.
They are not comparable. Its a bit like popping to the greengrocer saying you want to buy a different type of apple but leaving with a cucumber. Why not buy the different type of apple. i.e. global equity ETF in this case.

VLS100 does include some emerging, so closest ETF match is possibly FWRG then add an amount of FTAL (FTSE All share) to get the additional UK weighting of VLS100.
