Chip app issues

Downloaded chip app yesterday to get latest easy access account.
Tried to transfer money from my nationwide current account using details given by chip but said it didn't recognise account name (chip) so cancelled transfer. Tried to log on chip today but not loading up.
Anybody else having issues?

Ignore the Nationwide warning - as long as you have used the correct bank details it will go through. Send £1.23 first to test it (Or any other small amount of your choosing!) They use Clearbank to hold your money, which is why you got an error message, but it's safe and FSCS protected.
As for the app not loading, reboot your phone first. If still no good maybe remove and reinstall the app. Mine is working fine, I just checked.0 -
Remember the chip 5% is Max three withdrawals a year.

and its a tracker, so don't be shocked if the interest rate drops without notice on 7 Nov.2

I opted to open a Trading 212 isa 5.1% when full, then I will open a Trading 212 invest account and leave the rest of my reg saver cash in it at 5.1%.

More of a warning than a discussion. CHIP offers poor customer service and has problems with their IT logging process throwing up errors. I would NOT recommend them.I set up an account on Day [1] but was unable to transfer money in as it threw up an error code. I contacted support, and on Day [2] I contacted them again. After a third contact someone told me I had changed my mobile number (which clearly I had not as I had only just set up an account and they sent me a one time passcode to the correct number). I replied. On Day [3] I had a reply from someone else telling me I needed to change or confirm my new number! I explained I had not changed it....and on Day [4] someone else said the automatic verification had failed but if I would like to try again and send lots of ID documents it should work next time. In those 4 days I had sent my funds elsewhere (set up an account with another building society with just a few clicks and no errors.)If CHIP cannot sort out their IT or customer services giving incorrect information, I would not feel safe leaving my money there.Keep it simple. If in doubt - desist.0
