I want to get a cellular Apple Watch 12 month contact and pay it upfront what happens if the watch is stolen how would I continue the contracts there is no SIM card? I assume the watch is mine to keep and if I pay upfront and I could sell my current SE non cellular?

  • You would still be responsible for the Airtime part of the contract.

You can sell the SE watch if you own it.
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

See Vodafone OneNumber Connectivity Plan which let you share standard Vodafone mobile airtime and data allowances with your smartwatch

One number watch  Plans are  £7.50 monthly extra on a normal voda phone plan and is only a monthly contract so no long term lock in. You don't have to purchase your  watch from Voda ( I got mine from CEX) only a voda phone contract plan with one number addition

As i understand only EE and vodafone offer cell watch plans

Apple Watch uses an e-sim, not "no sim". Many phone providers will allow you to tag on a watch data e-sim for a relatively modest cost.

Not sure what you want to pre-pay for? The watch? The 12 month contract? Both?

Assuming you pay cash for the watch and just add the £5 unlimited data esim to your current contract. If it's stolen then naturally the watch is gone but you'd still need to see out your minimum period for the esim contract. If you buy insurance, either AppleCare+ or its under your Home Insurance then they may provide a replacement which you could transfer the esim to.

If you've paid cash for the watch then it is indeed yours so yes you could sell your current watch if you wanted.
