Saga car insurance quotes and price comparison sites - glitch, or ?
I wonder if anyone else has noticed a 'glitch' (?) on the Saga car insurance website, and if so what they did, if anything, about it.
I've managed to get quotes for car insurance on two price comparison sites (MSM and CTM) and scrolling down the list of options I've clicked on offers in the 'middle' range of quotes. In the case of Saga, I've then chosen to go to their webpage. All good so far.
The price comparison website quoted price and the Saga standard price match, at first. In addition to the standard quote, Saga also display two enhanced quotes below, which are a few £10s more. However, clicking on this other options causes:
1. The price on that option to 'magically' increase by a much larger chunk of cash than cited initially and...
2. The original standard price also increases, sometimes as much as £100!
Furthermore, there seems no means to return to the first, and reasonable, standard quote and even returning to the price comparison site and then working through there back o Saga again doesn't show the original price quoted on the price comparison site
This 'magical' jump in prices doesn't seem to occur with other companies' websites (say RAC, Churchill, etc.).
Are Saga pulling a 'fast one' (no pun intended)?
