Could this possibly be genuine?

I followed someone on Twitter/X because they reacted to something I posted and I received a message saying 'Congratulations 🎉 you have been picked among my followers that will be getting $5000 from me for the ongoing giveaway program this is my way of thanking you for following me and participating in my promotion! Are you ready to claim ?? AReply if YES.' The person, named Jeams Bella, says in their introduction to themselves that they have won $202 million and so is giving money away followers. Should I reply and how could I safely claim this money?

Of course it's not genuine, i'm suprised you even need to ask that question - but better ask than be very sorry when it all goes wrong.5

As genuine as a Delboy Rolex.... Don't even engage - unfollow...

The time to worry is when you reply and they then want you to pay them a "processing fee" and supply your bank or card details! For the avoidance of any doubt DON'T CONTACT THEM AND DON'T GIVE THEM ANY DETAILS - YOU WILL REGRET IT!1

Should I reply and how could I safely claim this money?Well $5k is only £3,850 so...And how have you partook in any "promotion" by just following somebody?Who wins just over 200 million dollars and then decides to give it away on X of all places?Don't forget in America you have to declare all sources of income and they can take a hefty chunk of it in taxes, both at federal and state level, and it can as high as 40% overall. There is such a thing as Gift Tax in the US which again can be as high as 40% up to a certain point.TL;DR - no such thing as a free lunch.0
