That is going to be very dependent on your business. A sole trader doing a few transactions a day is going to give very different answers to a small business who does dozens of transaction as day and wanting to integrate with a PoS system and also maybe taking online transaction payments.

So if you are trying to get alignment to your use case you may want to say what it is.

    Agree with the above.

Ours gets used maybe 12 days a year? On those days it could be 10 to 100 transactions. Location may or may not have wifi, power etc. For us something like Square, Zettle are perfect with no fixed costs, dont even need a card reader with most now if you have an iPhone. Sure fees over 1% are toppy these days but so much better than cash handling and so many dont have cash so not accepting cards isn't an option, especially if you've products going into three figures.

I found a company called Accepted Payments that has good reviews for support, long fixed low contracts and offers some decent competition to the other providers.

Really? Their website is rather sketchy about who they actually are, and if you dig into it, they seem to be on the verge of being struck off by Companies House. Do you perhaps have some connection to them?
