my wife was awarded pip Daily living component for 3 years before a review .
When the award was given August 2022 so review August 2025 .
My wife reaches State Pension age on March 2025 ,will she still be reviewed or automatically moved onto 10 year review ?

Award for 3 years: i.e to August 25...
Review is now sent out 12-> 6 months before end date so expect a letter and review form any time now. They take forever to process them and may well extend the award by 12 months while they process the review.
We are still awaiting a decision letter from a Review submitted in November last year (so received in October)... My wife got state pension in May... They have made a decision as of last Friday (we just don't know what, yet) and it was paper based (fwiw).2 -
Yes, she's most likely have another review and speaking from my own personal experience usually they contact you about 8 months before the award is due to end.
My review started at the end of October last year. I returned my forms at the end of November. Last week I had a phone call from a decision maker wanting to ask me some questions. Two days later I had a text to say my review was completed, with a paper based assessment.
I rang the same day to ask what the decision was and was told it was increased to Enhanced for both parts for 6 years and awarded from October 2023. This morning I had a nice lump sum in my bank which was the difference between my new award and previous award. It was a review started by DWP and I didn't ring to report changes. Though I did report changes in the form.5 -
Just to update... My wife's text stated she should not phone to find out what was awarded as they wouldn't know / be able to say in the call centre (lying toe rags, as poppy got the info perfectly well).
The Award Letter arrived today with no change of award but with no end / review date - just "ongoing" (I suspect due to now being over SP age).
I also noted that the DWP now use white envelopes rather than brown, so only the Belfast return address gave it away.1 -

All is fine if an award is made or stays the same or increases but it can cause problems if the award is reduced / refused. It's possible to determine the outcome from the automated phone system when you phone. After going through security, you should be informed of when your next PIP payment is due and the amount. From that you can usually determine the outcome. However it's not always reliable as sometimes you get put in the queue without being told details of your next PIP payment (which might cause panic if the person then thinks their PIP award has ended with nothing in payment). The DWP moved to using white envelopes after feedback suggested that getting a brown envelope was causing anxiety among some claimants. Some people reported it caused so much anxiety that the envelope would go unopened. The DWP moved to white envelopes to reduce this anxiety. The outcome though is now every white envelople letter can cause panic and anxiety, even if it's not from the DWP!4
