Can the smart bit of a smart meter be turned off?

    Lol I doubt the engineer would go for that as the charge cable would need to go 100m around the 7 block of flats to my parking space 

    Thats even if I wanted an EV which i don’t 

    Seriously it’s no big deal to have to move to a smart meter, if it don’t work as it should I can still give readings every month
