How do I move a DD from Lloyds to Monzo?

Probably pretty simple, but if I wanted to move a direct debit to Monzo rather than my present bank of Lloyds, how do I go about it?

Contact who the direct debit is with?
Lloyds?

I want to start slowly moving away from Lloyds, but also want to make sure I'm not putting all my eggs into the same basket should things not work out.

If it's just one direct debit, you'll need to contact the company the direct debit is for and give them your Monzo bank details for future payments. 

If it's all your direct debits, you can use the switching service to move everything from Lloyds to your Monzo account, and that will also close your Lloyds account.

Contact the company that you pay the money to and tell them that you want to change the direct debit details and they will change this no problem.

With lots of companies you can just log in to your online account and put the new account details in.

Best not to move anything to any business that might be a (questionably-named!) clone of a real one.... 😮

You either switch your Lloyds account to Monzo using the Current Account Switch Service (which closes your Lloyds account) or you contact the company who organised the DD and provide them with your new bank details for your Monzo account and ask them to set up a new DD.
