Has Debt Recovery Plus really improved their debt collection practices?

Recently I've noticed there's been an influx of 5 star reviews on Trustpilot for Debt Recovery Plus. We're not just talking one or two now and again these are occurring daily....one day 16 five star reviews were recorded.

Are we to believe them? 

Looks like they have new staff with a very impressive list of qualities reported....kind professional attentive empathetic helpful courteous patient understanding and knowledgeable.

All of these 5 star reviewers comment on the handler's behaviour. Some refer to the setting up a payment plan but only a small number give info on their issue that resulted in DRP dropping the charge, closing the case or arranging refund of monies paid in error.

Now I'm certainly not suggesting from these 5 star reviews everyone rushes to contact DRP expecting to receive the same service and resolve as this Trustpilot reviewer "Jamie Sloan was absolutely brilliant. Managed to get my parking notice quashed and cancelled."

As unfortunately their recent Trustpilot reviews do NOT mirror their Google reviews.

What complete crap.  So transparent!

They must be desperate.  Rather like BW Legal were, when they tried and failed to sue Trustpilot.

I guess ex-UKPC clamper Stewart & his cronies might have decided "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em".  Too little too late, mate, IMHO, assuming these are as fake as they look to an average man on the MSE forum omnibus.

It's blatantly obvious these are fake reviews, just look at the review count for the majority of these positive reviews 1 or 2 at most and all coming along together, it only goes to show how dim and dodgy they are!

Have reported to Trustpilot would help if others did the same maybe?

I'd also raised concerns with Trustpilot. Their reply says they'll look into it but privacy rules prevents them giving me any investigation info.

Hi Nellymoser - got the best laugh I have had in a long time when I read your comments about Debt Recovery Plus and their amazing staff - thanks for that!!!   they have now set my fine at £170
My MP seems a very efficient lad, never met him but he is keen to help me take on DRP & staff dealing with my case to task. I have also reported them to Trading Standards but not sure they will step up to the plate.  The inference that I am a liar and thief for £2.40 really has ruffled my feathers.  I have a Disabled Badge but went into that car park fully ready to pay as it suited me to be there.  If I had wanted free parking I could have taken time to find space on the street where it wouldn't cost me anything but DRP are dead set against listening to the truth, so fingers crossed

@bambi3543 Glad it made you laugh, hard to laugh when dealing with this greedy nasty industry. Its good your MP is helping you he'll maybe get one of these super duper handlers at DRP!! It's hilarious in the 5 star reviews the handler gets named but in the 1 star ones the rude abusive handlers don't seem to want to be named. Wonder after your MP's contact with them if he'll be in the 1 or 5 star DRP camp!!
