Morning everyone stay safe everyone we have a wet and windy day here I won’t be going anywhere I’m another that hates the wind it’s the damage it does . AA hope you feel better soon I always think it hurts more the next day after a fall . We had a farmers market yesterday I got some lovely bread and cheese and there was a lady doing jams and chutney I got my instructions of my sons when it’s on next month they want the black currant and liquorice she said it was popular but I don’t know I got a jar of honey and some roast pepper and tomato chutney it’s all local and I didn’t think it was a bad price as some of these markets can be expensive. Mehefin it’s the same at Newcastle now it’s all a money grabbing con . I’ve got a small joint of beef in the oven I will make Yorkshire pudding and veg to go with it . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all, the weather isn't too bad here, just the normal dull and rainy. However DS is sat on a plane, been delayed 2 hours because of fog in Lisbon.3 of them going to a pals wedding today so hope they make it. He'll be back tomorrow night. Decorating will continue today. The actual kitchen part is looking pretty good now, I much prefer the new tiles around the hob instead of the coloured glass splashback, def updates it. Better get cracking! Wish I'd got a beef joint now, with DS not here as he doesn't like it. Stay safe if you're in the eye of the storm, take care.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11

Hello all, we had lashing rain all night but now it's just dark, wet and windy. I'm glad it was dry yesterday when we went for the Covid jabs and there was no problem with me having mine with Dad instead of going back later. We were lucky that we went straight in but there was a long queue when we came out. Afterwards we went to the local GC coffee shop and Dad had a toasted teacake with his coffee as he hadn't had his breakfast. We called in the garage for petrol before taking Dad home and I bought 2 custard slices in the shop, naughty but very nice. We didn't eat the 2 though as I gave one to Dad and we shared the other.
Today I'm aching but it might not be the result of the jab as sometimes it can be my meds or the even the weather that effects me, anyway I'm going to join Gers in Slobbing Sunday 😂 I've got a small roast chicken for tea today and we'll have roasties and veg with it.
Camelot what a good haul and great price for children's clothes. Wish I could do that now but DGS tops alone cost £85 each as he's adult size now ! DGD doesn't have his expensive tastes in clothes yet, she'd rather a bag full than 1 expensive top.
AA hope you're ok and not too much damage done, gentle hugs.
Snoozer hope you're not aching too much after playing with the DGC. Being a GParent brings out our inner child 😁.
WL well done on getting so much accomplished.
Take care all, stay safe in the storm. Hugs to anyone in need.

Redcross I completely agree with you re solo decision making ,mostly it’s not having anyone to bounce ideas off although there’s lots of things I just have to get someone in for

Morning, windy here but no rain. Yesterday was a lovely day, blue skies and sunny.
I seem to have done lots of little jobs this morning, nothing of much importance though.
Another one having a roast beef dinner later, although I'm cheating as the beef slices were in the freezer left over from last time, just roasties and veg to do.
Hope Gers, Camelot and anyone else in the path of the storm, stay safe.
Take care all x10 -
Hello everyone
Its windy here but not as bad as the forecast says, or at least not yet. It poured last night, but is lovely and sunny now.
Little one stayed on Friday night, she was so excited to be here....as she told me when she woke me at 5am yesterday! I said 'granny needs to sleep till the clock says 7' so she was quiet for a little while, then started singing Jingle Bells...
She came to the hairdressers with me...lots of comments about the colour of my hair while it was getting snipped...'It's white and light grey and then dark grey...I have got some dye ready to put on this afternoon. Then we went to the library and for lunch, she had a nap for an hour and then we played in the garden until DD picked her up. It was lovely and sunny....her kitten had a great time running around with her.
This morning I'm been down to mam and dads...Taff I think it was you who asked... Dad is generally ok again though I think he must have had a TMI this morning as his speech was a bit slurry. Mum is fed-up because her respite time hasn't been sorted yet. The firm we use for his care are saying they haven't enough staff to cover it.
Right I'm going to sort the cats' litter tray, wash my dishes, prepare my tea...I have some salmon out defrosting and then I'm having a lazy rest of the day. Tomorrow we're taking our nursery children to our local Pumpkin Patch....I think I need to conserve my energy!
Hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Seeing videos of the storm - hope everyone is okay.
My days seem to be filled with medical visits, emergency room stays with roommate, and visiting hospitals and trying to rearrange house so can be medically safe around here. Getting a shot in my spine this week so I'm not moving very fast right now (if at all) so not much being accomplished.
Take care.6 -
Poor you WeeNancy, life sounds pretty stressful for you just now. I hope all the medical problems can soon be resolved. Take care x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"4
