I am having a problem installing Microsoft Auto Route 2006 on my Dell laptop. It is running on Windows Microsoft XP. I am getting the following error message -

"Microsoft AutoRoute Installer Information

Error 1305. Error reading from file D:\AutoRte\MSMap\PFiles\MSMap\Data\EUR_CD.mad. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it."

It looks like your disk is scratched: http://www.eggheadcafe.com/aspnet_answers/ukautoroute/Aug2006/post27638597.asp

When you install Money, Games for Windows, Streets and Trips, MapPoint, Digital Image, or Encarta you receive an error message that includes error 1305, 1308, or 2263, or you receive another Windows Installer error message

You could always try the free route planners:

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.

I suspect this program is weird. I have successfully installed this on 2 computers, one being a laptop, but 2 other desktops failed to install. All running on XP. I'm no computer expert so I haven't got a clue as to why. I wondered if it was anything to do with the graphics cards?
