Iron Key help

Any advice appreciated. We keep private data on an encrypted Iron Key - have done for some years as it is simply impossible to remember everything!
Last weekend our desktop picked up a virus and we ended up going through a system restore. Now our Iron Key won't open. Pop up message about needing privileged access. No idea what this is and when I search the topic I frankly don't understand the answer.
Anyone suggest a possible solution?
