Buying Ticketmaster login details - have I been scammed?

Hi after some advice. I was after some tickets for a sold out gig which has transfer disabled. Someone sold me their Ticketmaster account as they weren't able to transfer the tickets (all legit). They allowed me to pay via G&s although the gig is over 6 months away. Essentially they gave me the login details and were then happy for me to change the account to my email address and my name. Is this a safe method? I can see the tickets there although they aren't ready yet.

Can't imagine it is. Would also guess it's against ticketmaster T&C's. Guessing they would have come across this before (change in IP address, change in email, password and name etc) - would imagine the account will get closed down.

  • Oh damn! Regret this now!

Hi I feel kind of stupid now. The person did send me the account and his end he accepted the 2 factor authentication to change the details  into my name so I feel pretty secure in the sense that the account is now “mine”. I didn’t think it would breach Ticketmaster terms and conditions and I’m  now really worried that the tickets may get cancelled before the gig. I paid goods and services but the concerts over 10 months away so my cover will be void if it’s that late. Sent over £600 and now feeling really silly about it.
