Just switched from BG to OFTM. Meter reads all confirmed, photos of meter read sent.
New bill confirms the meter reads but MAGICALLY, they bill me on a fictitious estimate 1000s of kwh below the meter number. The correct number is actually on the bill but in the billing line below they've made a 'mistake' in the hope I don't notice. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour?
I will escalate this with the Ombudsman and exit the supplier.

Have you complained and given them 8 weeks to correct or otherwise resolve the complaint? Malevolence is over-egging this a bit. I'd suggest incompetence.
I'm surprised an automated bill could get things that wrong though. Did the meter recently loop over from, eg, 9950 to 0050?2 -
OTM billing seems prone to errors, and their customer support is lousy. After months of hassle and moving to a new supplier, I had to use the Ombudsman before they would address their errors. Anyone with OTM should check their bills very carefully, especially their gas calculations!
