I would like some advice please . I was traveling through a city centre recently . I stopped at red lights . I waited to the lights went green and pursed my journey onto the road. Suddenly a bus appeared   In a word I was going from East to West and the bus cut across going North to South.  The bus blocked my road access . I stopped and was quite shocked . I waited a few minutes and somehow the bus was stationary but in cutting  onto the road . This caused long tail backs .
I have never experienced buses cutting across from North to South whilst I was going East to West.

I waited a little longer and decided to take the road to the left of the bus as it was blocking the road and causing traffic delays .  I then noticed I approached a bus lane . The time in the bus lane was about 5 seconds . I quickly moved back over onto my lane of traffic. I looked in the mirror and the bus was still blocking the lane causing traffic delays.  I believe others may of quickly indicated around the bus as it was causing huge delays . As you can imagine the bus was blocking the lane so it was taking up a lot of space.

I realise I entered into a bus lane accidentally.  However I have been told by someone ITK the bus is causing an offence by blocking on - coming traffic. Please remember I am driving on a straight road and a bus cuts in front of me going the opposite direction. I suppose a bit like the old tram systems.

What do people think ?

This forum mainly deals with private parking company charges, not councils etc

You would be better to post your query over on the FTLA parking forum after reading their posting requirements
  • Thanks . Is there any way the admin team can transfer this thread to the correct section ? I wouldn't know how to do it .
  • have you actually received a bus lane violation in the post?

No, the FTLA parking forum is on a completely unrelated website to mse, its like asking if Tesco have caviar, being told that ASDA do, 3 miles away, different address, different owners, similarities but a completely different destination

As Gr1pr says, it's a different site. Here is the link. https://www.ftla.uk/private-parking-tickets/ You would have to register on there and open a thread with your query; they are very knowledgeable and helpful.

Just making it crystal clear for you and also for anyone else who reads this thread that the two are completely different sites and that your request is impossible

If it was as simple as just moving the thread to a different forum on mse, I would have said so and also reported the thread to the admins to move it.to the correct forum
