Label size error

Hi , I recently bought my 7 yr old grandson a pair of Arsenal football socks from the new 24/25 season from Sports Direct on line . I ordered the child size 8-13 . Unfortunately when he tried them on they were massive and cannot be a child size . I informed SD and they asked for photos of labelling which I duly sent also informing them that the socks were so big he couldn’t even get them in his football boots , I even sent them the measurements of the foot length to show that the wrong socks must have been put in the bag . They came back with they had checked my account and the label and that the socks were in fact what I had ordered . I then sent another photo of the sock fitting my size 6 adult foot perfectly . They have now told me that they are satisfied that the socks I ordered are correct ( I am not disputing the size on the bag label or the fact that that is the size I ordered just that they cannot be child socks as they fit me therefore must be error somewhere . Advice please as to what I do now , as much as I like football I don’t want to wear Arsenal socks and I have a very disappointed grandson .
thank you

When buying online you have the right to change your mind and return the items. There no point event entering a discussion with the retailer. As a learning point, Sports Direct is a terrible retailer to deal with. I wouldn't consider them no matter how attractive their prices look.2

I also wouldn't have disputed, I'd have just sent them back, as soon as opening the packet (and before trying on) when the fact they would be too big was obvious.1

did you not just send them back? again like the other comment says Sports Direct are awful to deal with, charge lots for delivery, I wouldnt bother with them again1

If you have a store near by you might get some common sense out of them face to faceIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces1

Thanks , have since heard about Sports Direct . I wanted an exchange so hadn’t considered just returning,
Can I still return if I contacted them within 14 days and still in dispute ? Is there a particular thing to say to get them to refund now ?Thanks again0
