Many thanks for your assistance with this. I'll report back when I hear something.0

Filed DQ and received notification that ELMS have dumped the case and VCS will now be pursuing. They say they will settle for a lesser sum, which I shall politely decline.1

It's been a good while and I have a result, so thought I would post an update on my case. Went through so called mediation with them through the court process where they offered to settle for £190, I declined. Interesting the court mediator said 'so are you refusing mediation then? No, just refusing to give in to their ridiculous demands.
Few more weeks went by and I got a letter with a hearing date (transferred to my local county court) and there was a note that said unless the claimant paid their court fees by X date the claim would be struck out. Sure enough, got a letter from the court today saying the case has been struck out as the court fees were not paid.
I'll now be firing off a complaint to the DVLA - they haven't exactly covered themselves in glory and also to my MP.
Thanks to all who offer support in this forum, the way these companies behave and their abuse of the court system is nothing short of shocking. It takes nerves of steel to play their game of brinkmanship and I can understand how others would concede and pay up.
Good luck to all who come after.7 -
Well done you and good you corrected the mediator's assumption. Keep on with the complaining only way we'll see changes happen.
Have you signed the petitions? It's another way for motorists to ask for Govt action to protect us from PP operators 'rip-off' practices.3 -
