Any busy Towns around Redcar/Sedgefield area that are busy with lots of pubs/bars on Saturday night?

Hi all
Might sound a strange question but all will become apparent. We are horse racing fans and like to travel the country to different courses. This coming weekend there are 2 courses in the North East holding race meetings. Redcar Races on Friday (So, we will go there(. Sedgefield on Sunday, so we want to go there too... However, that leaves us free Saturday on night...Therefore, we'd love to visit a town/place in this area of the UK that is likely to be busy on Saturday night (Pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants etc).
