Inpost/Footasylum return

I recently used an inpost locker to rtn 3 pairs of trainers. Footasylum have returned an asos jumper to me which they say they received instead of the trainers. This was returned to me in the packaging that I packed the trainers in. I post say they have cctv that shows me adding a large parcel to the top locker and have contacted Footasylum to let them know, and that they are waiting for a response. Footasylum are absolutely refusing to refund me for the 3 pairs of trainers (value £180) saying I sent them a jumper. The customer service at Footasylum is awful and condescending in nature. I am going round in circles. Surely Footasylum have a contract with Inpost and it is up to them to refund me, as I fulfilled my part of the transaction, and then discuss what had happened with Inpost. I’m so upset that I’ve lost £180 when two large companies, one of whom has failed me, get away with what I can only presume is employee theft. What are my legal rights here please?

  • I ordered an item off vinted and it was packaged correctly and i went to collect it and i thought that doesnt look right, it had been opened and the item replaced with a plastic kids ring. My friend told me that Inpost drivers are stealing the items and replacing with cheap things and its gappening alot with inpost in my area I live. Ive emailed vinted and inpost. Still waiting for vinted but inpost emailed saying you have to take the issue up with vinted and then they will contact us. Do not use inpost!

Did you manage to resolve this in the end?

I have also had exactly the same happen to me with 2 pairs of trainers. Originally they asked me to get the cctv footage from InPost, who refused as their contract is with foot asylum. Foot asylum then sent me an email to say that they had received the footage from inpost and saying that the parcel matches what they received (a random pair of asos trainers) that someone has seemingly put in the packaging I used.  They have said as they didn’t receive the trainers they cannot refund me and are refusing to share the cctv footage either claiming data protection. I have sent them a photo of my package in the locker (given the size of the locker used they should be able to determine there was 2 pairs of trainers there) but are refusing to budge.

Any advice as to how to proceed would be appreciated?
