Drainage job - replacing pipework and svp rest bend

Options
Hi,

I have been quoted £1850 for this remedial work to a downpipe and where it meets the drain:

Repair 1) – To remove defective cast iron pipework to rear of W.c and 2m section of cast iron to existing upvc externally, to remove existing copper waste pipe and renew with new 38mm upvc waste pipe.

Repair 2) To excavate and replace defective broken Svp rest bend to a depth no greater than 0.5m in depth, once repaired make good and test on completion.

Plus £580 to install a recessed manhole cover and make good the slabs which were covering the previous one and had to be taken up.

Seems absurdly expensive to me - any thoughts?
