    Bed and ISA doesn't mean you avoid CGT on gains you have made until that point, it just means you don't pay anything on gains going forward once they are in the ISA.

    Personally I've always thought it's a bit of a marketing gimmick, just there to put a wrapper around selling shares in one account and repurchasing them in another...
