In principle he could payoff One Call Claims instead of his insurers if he really wants to but probably won't want to after seeing the size of the bill. That would be between him and One Call and nothing to do with you

If you are feeling unwell as a result of the accident, see a doctor now.  If it gets worse and you have loss of earnings and you delay, there may be ramifications

The OP said in the opening post that they went to hospital and was told it was just shock (non-medical)

Thats what the doctor said, In my opinion I think he was just in a hurry to get rid of me.
