Child savings account - fixed rate bond

Hi,
Looking for some advice. I've been looking at fixed rate bonds for my kids (Best Children’s Savings Accounts | Compare Junior Savings (moneyfactscompare.co.uk)) but after trying several of the best rates I've found that they either don't do children's accounts online (and don't have branches near me) or they do them online but need me to send off their documents. Last time I sent off an important document it got lost in the post so want to avoid that if possible (and getting certified copies has been difficult as nowhere seems to be doing these for free, or at all, anymore - even banks where I'm an existing customer).
Thanks

ID verification is ever more important - for adults it can often be achieved by electronically checking data held by credit agencies, but obviously children won't have a credit footprint so the process is inevitably more manual, so your choice is essentially branch-based products or accepting the need to send originals or certify copies.1
