Thank you Annemos, I believe that was a different era with different regulations, and you're right—clay can be a concern. However, from a build perspective, I feel it’s quite safe now. The main issue is the stigma associated with a landfill, but like ReadingTim mentioned, I shouldn't be too worried about future buyers avoiding it.
Your feedback has given me a lot of confidence, and I really appreciate the practical insights. I’ve personally seen the piles that the foundation will be built on, and during the survey, a third-party company was inspecting those piles to ensure there were no issues. My own survey also confirmed that subsidence is unlikely for at least the next 25 years due to the use of piled foundations and the history of the landfill.
