Lost shares?

LostShares

I have some shares ( paper certificates) and trying to find out how to sell them. Having looked up the company I have shares in I read it’s privatised on the London Stock Exchange as a private Ltd company with 2 companies owning 100%. Do I still have shares to sell or have I somehow lost my investment?

If the company is no longer publicly listed and went private then you should have been kept informed at the time as to what the fate of your shares was - which company is it? Did you keep the registrar informed about any changes of address, etc? Were you receiving dividends, if applicable?0

So I must admit the shares in Fortune Oil were largely forgotten about and the address with the registrar is out of date. Do you know if there’s any recourse?0

https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/offer-for-fortune-oil-ourwe8vudaoze8u.html explains the buyout of shareholders in 2015, so if the registrar was unable to contact you then, it would be worth contacting them now to ascertain if you're still eligible to receive the cash.

Thank you so much for your help. Really do appreciate it. I’ll take your advice and cross my fingers re eligibility.0
