How do you get the best range from your hybrid?
How do you get the best range from your hybrid?
My Citroen C5 Aircross is advertised as 30-40 mile range but best I've managed to achieve is 28 for predicted range and today it was just 22 miles after a full charge
Do you let your battery down to zero miles before you charge, or do you keep it topped up

My hybrid has got an amazing mpg. I manage to get a range of about 900 miles when starting with full tank and full battery.

We have a plug in hybrid and one thing that can make a big difference to the range as it gets colder, if you have it as an option, is to precondition the car when you have it plugged in. This lets you heat the car and battery before you leave without using any battery charge. It uses a bit of house power, but doing this I often get the warm day range on a cold day.1
