Need To Lower Sky Bill

Hi, my elderly parents currently have:
- Sky talk anytime extra (needed as they make a lot of phonecalls health-related as my mum is disabled and she also has an emergency pendant)
- TV essentials (they don't need or want the TV bit but keep getting told they need it, do they really? And would the calls or broadband be more without this?)
- Sky broadband essentials plus (They just need a basic broadband cheap as all they have is an Alexa that we use to talk as it's easier to see them when needed, is there any other cheaper one?)
They are currently paying £50 a month now after I have phoned last month and got the bill down to that but it's still not low enough, they're pensioners, my mum is disabled and gets PIP but sky don't do the social tariff for that.
If they cancelled the TV and broadband, would the Sky talk anytime extra always only be £18.99?
As I think Vodaphone do the social broadband tariff for PIP at £20 a month
Also I think Plusnet do a full landline unlimited deal for £12.69 a month.
Not sure whether to cancel everything with Sky and try and get the Vodaphone social broadband deal and the Plusnet Phone landline deal. - Is Plusnet reliable? As they really need the landline phone for health-related calls to the doctors and hospital for my mum and for her emergency pendant.
Just unsure of what do to to get them the lowest price as they're unable to pay £50 a month, I will be phoning sky as well later again, just wanted opinions on here first. The last time I phoned them they said that was the lowest they could lower it to the £50, with the deals he had available then, but they still can't afford that. Thanks.

If you have recently negotiated a new deal then you'll likely be in a new 18 or 24 month contract.
Sky TV contracts are not flexible and you will be committed for the length agreed without an option to exit, even for a fee.
How is the TV provided, satellite or over the internet?
The landline will be bundled with broadband, you cannot have phone alone and any call package will be an extra cost.
£50 for broadband, landline and calls package seems in the right ballpark.
I fear your recent renegotiation may mean your are now locked in to that deal.1 -
I phoned last month and read that I had 31 days to either change it or cancel, I'm sure that the person on the phone said this as well as I wasn't happy with the price then.
They have a satellite dish. I really hope that I can still renegotiate as they really can't afford the £50 a month and I don't have the money to give them for it.
I was hoping to cancel and go with the social tariff Vodaphone broadband and the Plusnet unlimited landline calls, if I couldn't get Sky to lower the bill.
If it is locked in now would I be able to cancel at a cost?0 -
If you re-negotiated the prices last month, are you sure you did not tie them into a new minimum period in doing that?
Plusnet are owned by BT, so yes they are reliable. They will however not be doing a digital voice service when the current PSTN phone services get switched off at your parents exchange some time in the future. If you are not a current customer, not sure they will offer any phone service at all.

The person I spoke to on the phone told me I had 31 days to cancel or amend the contract, so I'm hoping he didn't lie to me.
That's sad that Plusnet won't be doing that as I can't find any cheaper landline unlimited deals only. Thank you for letting me know that.0
