Samsung QLED Malware?

Options
Sorry if I sound stupid, but this worried me.

I recently got a new Samsung QLED TV and suddenly today whilst watch Netflix a pop-up message say malware threat blocked 500000100000 something like this. Then the choice to report Always, Not Now or Ignore.  Took me a while to realize I had to use the Samsung remote to accept Always.

I am only watching the TV that is what I want, and now suddenly getting messages about malware is making me so nervous.  Actually, someone else had to set the TV up for me. Netflix is still working.

This happens, and Samsung don't have a clue- or couldn't care less, depending on your level of cynicism.

The solution seems to be to put it in Engineer mode with a dance on the old fashioned remote before you switch it on, and then do a factory reset. (on mine after it has been off at least 10 minutes you press in sequence INFO, SETTINGS, MUTE and then POWER and it comes on in Engineer mode - DO NOT CHANGE ANY OF THE SETTINGS AS YOU CAN BRICK THE TV OR RUIN THE PICTURE FOREVER) You will have to tediously re-enter all your details and log-ins to YouTube, Iplayer Netflix etc. so it is very much A Solution of Last Resort, so you might want to invoke your guarantee if it is very new.

Here is a long thread about it

I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

So, I am getting a pop-up when I switch on saying Samsung Blocked the malware attack and nothing after this. Then it disappears I can click close.

I am not tech savy for this and my anxiety is going nuts because of it.  I know there is no way in hell I could do a reset.

Actually, I just turn the TV on using the little remote that charges via usb, and then use my Virgin remote for everything else. I have no outside ariel.

The TV was bought 5 weeks ago from Richer Sounds and the guy from there set everything up for me.

To add to facade, read the link and mine just happened yesterday once and nothing else is happening.  As I said just using it as a normal TV turn on then Virgin for Netflix, Amazon, Youtube etc not the Samsung apps.

So, I phoned Richer Sounds and waiting for a call back.  If the TV has to be reset, they can come out and do it.

Update.  Richer Sounds are going to come out and put in a new circuit board for me at home.  The repair man on the phone said he knew what my problem and the code was, seems it can happen it is a glitch and rather than resetting everything and it happening again new part.  It has been ordered and if the message comes up again, just click it off.

    Thank you for your help.
