Solar: With an Import/Export tariff difference of only 7p/unit, does it make sense to get a battery?

I don't think anyone can get near to 7p/kWh except from an EV tariff, so it's not really a solar option. Flux is over twice that price.

I’m filling batteries overnight at 7p / kWh then using all day ready to fill again at night. EV gets charged every few days at the same bargain 7p. Works for me, particularly through the winter months.
Thanks. My fag-packet calculation says you are saving 15p a unit, so if you had a big 10kWh battery you save £1.50 a day if you use all 10kWh, Roughly £500 pa.
