Solar: With an Import/Export tariff difference of only 7p/unit, does it make sense to get a battery?

I don't think anyone can get near to 7p/kWh except from an EV tariff, so it's not really a solar option. Flux is over twice that price.0

Thanks. My fag-packet calculation says you are saving 15p a unit, so if you had a big 10kWh battery you save £1.50 a day if you use all 10kWh, Roughly £500 pa.tim_p said:I’m filling batteries overnight at 7p / kWh then using all day ready to fill again at night. EV gets charged every few days at the same bargain 7p. Works for me, particularly through the winter months.0
