New car, cracked windscreen.
Options
Asking for my neighbour who had a brand new in September, 74 reg skoda kodiaq.
His wife has mainly driven it with the sun visor all the way forward against the windscreen.
She pulled visor back last week to see a crack from the top of the windscreen down diagonal about 6 inches.
There's no sign whatsoever of any contact.
Is it possible this could be a manufacturing fault? This is a new model he's worried there may be no spares available yet.
I told him he needs to sort it soon before the freezing weather is here.

Sourcing a replacement windscreen is unlikely to be an issue. He might end up with a pattern part, although he might get a genuine screen if the pattern ones haven't yet caught up.0
