M&S credit card - 10% cashback, misleading?

My good lady and I each have a Sparks card and get different deals which is not helpful. She clocked a jacket in the local store and I needed to use my card to receive the 15% discount as she didn't have it.The young lady who served us explained that customers receive different offers based on their purchasing history profile.I reckon M&S need to get their act together on this and offer the same benefits to all card holders.1

This M&S CC offer might look like one where credit-worthiness is being taken into account, to justify different offers. But I don’t think it is. They’re looking at what level of sweetener will tempt us to switch to them. Someone who is offered a lower spend threshold before cashback kicks in earns them less in merchant fees. Which is what they are recycling into cash back.Fashion on the Ration

Mrs NDM isn't on Facebook so no data there to target her Sparks card.

I have an online account with M&S so I’ve just switched on marketing to see if I get an offer.Fashion on the Ration

They have just sent a correction. Now it makes sense ,I think. Spend £500 and get £50.0

Worked for me. £50 back on 11th November for October spend. Spent well over £500 in November, but weirdly M&S say the cashback for not payable until end of Dec ?0

I have just cancelled my M and S card because you are expected to use that credit card to pay for your goods at the store. I did not understand this and have been charged £27.13 each month for two months without using the service.
It seems to me that Mand S are showing their true colours and getting money from vulnerable and computer illiterate older people. Is it possible to get this money back??????0 -
