Good morning, it seems to be a dry start this morning, cold though.
I went to a nearby shopping centre yesterday, looking for some thick jumpers, well, thickish. Bought 2, plus a thinner one, but I don't look up to much in the thinner one, so I'll take it back.
I need to go out today but just to our High street.
Nothing much else happening, apart from getting ready for our trip to the south west to see DH's brother.
Hope everyone has a good day, Thoughts to Silver-Oldie, and anyone else who is sad or poorly.
Take care folks.

Morning all. Thanks @Scarlet for starting us off. It's raining heavily here and still dark. I'm still snug in bed, putting off getting up a bit longer.Yesterday I took my friend shopping, it was a quick zoom round M&S and then back home. The rest of my day was quiet. This morning I have a meds order to collect and then will go up to a lovely cafe for some of their fresh bread. A couple of years ago they baked bread once a week to order before stopping when life returned to mire normal, this weekend is the first time since then when it's available again. I'll get a loaf, slice it and stick it in the freezer. After that I have no real plans. There's a couple of chores to do, nothing taxing, and my wee backpack to sort as I'm away for one night tomorrow. I only need to top up the pouches of shampoo / conditioner, stick in a pair of knickers and it'll be done.I hope that everyone is doing well and can keep dry.12

Morning Everyone and thank you for starting us off Scarlet.
It rained here in the night and it's damp this morning.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. xx11 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It looks a bit damp out there and rain is forecast on and off throughout the day. And it feels nippy too.
DD and the girls are doing the Sue Ryder Starlight Hike again tonight but it's not the nice weather they had for it last year. They will need to be well wrapped up. It's the eve of my lovely Bob's anniversary and I think this has boosted their donation page this time. As well as SIL's passing in the same Sue Ryder hospice last w/e. As DD has worked in the hospice for going on two years now she knows how much all the donations, big or small, help.
No early town trip this morning as I have my Covid jab at B**ts this afternoon so will combine any shopping I need with that. I've got a gammon joint out defrosting to pop in the sc tonight. I don't seem to use it as much as I used to now I am cooking for just me.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, lonely or sad. Take care all, stay safe x

Morning
Yesterday turned into a marathon of whizzing round shops after my few hours in work - got everything that was needed bough. And managed some craft work.Forecast was wrong again and it’s raining so it’ll be indoor work until it dries up. Need an expedition in the lofts for both winter things and Christmas crafts from previous years - maybe that’ll be later.Thinking of all the poorlies. TA take care!

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
Dry here so I’ve put a wash load on. Mainly work stuff and running gear. DH doesn’t seem to generate much now he’s not working.I’m seeing Mum and DS2 today. We are planning to have lunch in Canterbury and I need a couple of bits from B00ts. Will be home in time for SCD! Tomorrow we are sorting the loft ready for the move.Have a good day everyone.CoxyCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings10 -

Very wet and blustery this morning so the washing can stay inside. There's another load to do but that can wait until this lot is dry.
Have good trips Scarlet and Gers, hope the weather is kind to you.
Sounds like you had a great trip away Allie.
Good luck with the loft clearing Coxy, I think mine is full of everyone else's 'stuff'!
Shopping must be done this morning, the little one is coming for a sleepover later so no doubt she will want a risotto for dinner. I also have to make a start on her halloween costume - she wants to be a Super Kitty (whatever that is).
Hugs to the poorlies and sads, have a good weekend. Take care. XX10 -
Morning all
Its been raining most of the night and will be for most of the day so a day indoors for me I think, dd is off out for bottomless brunch for a friends Birthday so I imagine quite a few drinks will be consumed ! OH is going to his dads to sign some paperwork with his sister so I shall have a nice day indoors.
I am going to make some roasted tomato and garlic soup ready for dinner on Monday with a toasted sandwich, we used to have soup and pudding dinners but have upgraded to soup and a toastie 😃 I will also make the apple and blackberry crumble ready for tomorrow.
Dinner tonight will be steak and chips with roasted tomato and garlic mushrooms it’s OH’s turn to cook so a night off for me, housework to do this morning and then a nice bath and a film later on the fire will be lit later as the air feels very damp.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -

Morning all, we've had rain overnight but the sun is out now. I kept myself busy yesterday and even changed the bed, washed the bedding and dried it. Mr Fix It had his oncology appointment and thankfully his stats had gone down again and his scan was clear, so he has a reprieve for another 3 months. We did explain that when he had his bloods he may have had a water infection but last the oncologist wasn't having any of it and just frightened us to death with his doom and gloom attitude. This one was totally the opposite in his outlook.
Today my plans are already scuppered as the garden is too wet to tie in my rambling rose which has made a bid for freedom, one branch has gone about 12 foot straight up into the air ! Now I have nothing planned for today so I may get on with my book, it's a bit hard going, but I'll finish it just to see who dunnit.
Hugs to all, take care.

Good news for you both NAN. Our finger crossing worked!
DD suggested we all have breakfast out tomorrow to stop me dwelling on my own and do some happy memory sharing instead. It would have been lunch but she is working later. Table booked and I am already looking forward to it! They do serve yummy breakfasts with gorgeous pastries too x
