FB had to change password but not getting the Notification

If this is in the wrong place Sorry
 I had my laptop cleaned up and then tried to log into my FB account. I must have changed my password, I did write it down but it was wrong .
I requested a new one and was sent to my email with a 6 didgit code which I filled in, then changed my password.
I then had on the screen check your notifications on another device but nothing has come through

I signed in via iPad and was told check your PC for notification to confim but have not received anything.
I tried again to reset to see if anything would arrive but nothing, I have been trying for 2 days.

there is no way you can contact FB without signing into your account to report the problem.
Friends have told me they can see my account but I am unable ato access it.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this please

I have just gone on and I am not logged in on any devices, 
and there is no way to contact FB direct unless you are logged in

Thank just did that again, changed password again, had email from FB saying if it was me dont need to do anything but still had

How do I check?

I don't use Facebook but doubt they are talking about your web browser.

I have downloaded this and still comes up with

I think I will give up now

And all of a sudden I had a friend request for my FB account.
I clicked to confirm yoes and I was in.

Dont know how that happened, but going through my notifications I had 27 from FB telling me someone tried logging into my account and they stopped it
