One-way window reflective film and/or heat insulation film

Hi,
(as well as my other microwave thread)
I'm considering getting some window one-way mirror film coating product - ebay seems to sell something for about £60 (super vague estimate, might end up being £100) that would do the windows I want. I wouldn't want window tint - just clear viewing out and reflective looking in
While I'm at it I'm also thinking about some sort of heat reflective properties for the inside - reflective room heat back into the room. I don't think the reflective mirror + heat reflective properties are available from a single product, I might need to layer two different products to get that effect. Does anyone have any experiences with either the one way reflective product, and/or the heat reflective product?
many thanks...

You can buy reflective window film on eBay a lot cheaper than what you are saying.
I paid £10 for a decent size roll.
But be warned that it is virtually impossible for a very competent diyer to fit.
It is very very difficult to peel the backing off the film & very very difficult to get the air bubbles out if & when you get it on the window glass.
I gave up after numerous attempts & binned it.
Car wrap & window tint companies wanted silly money to do the job.

hi greyteam, I saw some products on ebay, yeah as you say fitting was my only concern. I'm sure if the actual sheet coverage was eg £50, I could end up paying another £50 to get it properly fitted0

Good luck getting somebody to fit for £50.
I got quoted £180 to supply and fit the film to 2 panes about 1500 mm x 500 mm.0 -
this is what I'm thinking yes....I save £5 by finding the cheapest "£60" deal on the window covering on ebay, and then the quote is as you say £150+ (or however much it is) for fitting, and it gets binned. thankyou for the info0

I bought from Ebay for all the windows at the back of my home which gets full sun. It was fitted by my home help without too much problem and the heat in lounge & bedrooms was reduced as a result. I have bought some more for the conservatory roof but this will need two people to fit it so the job has been deferred to the Spring.
