Dorothy Perkins return fee complaint

Hi all, 

I recently placed a large order with Dorothy Perkins which was delivered via multiple parcels over several days. I'm aware of the £1.99 return fee, however, when I created the return (via their online portal) a message stated that multiple returns from the same order would only be charged one return fee, as long as all returns were created on the same day. I ended up creating returns for 4 parcels yet I've been charged £7.96. I've queried it with their customer service team but they are adamant that the £7.96 fee is correct. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Not sure where I stand on this.

Were all items booked in on the same return, or did you book four separate batches of returns?

I had to create four separate returns as the online portal stated all items listed for return had to fit into one parcel, which wasn't possible.
