Still, it's dry, better than the never ending rain.
I had a quiet day yesterday, went out to collect a parcel from a nearby shop, and finished planting spring bulbs in containers. I'm a bit late with that this year.
I haven't read back on yesterday, hope everyone is all right.
Take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, you're not last with the bulbs, I haven't started yet!
After a gloriously sunny (but cold) day yesterday it's raining this morning, thank goodness I got the washing out yesterday! All the waterproof suits are now washed, dried, folded and in a bag ready to take back today.
Last day for me before half term, lots of loose ends to clear up at work but looking forward to the week off although we have just had a long weekend!
Hope your house sale goes through quickly Coxy, the waiting is the worst thing.
Did you get a decent car Gers?
Hugs to you SO.
Out for dinner with friends tonight which I'm really looking forward to and the little one is coming to stay tomorrow so a busy weekend.
Take care. XX11 -

Morning folks- thanks for starting us off @Scarlet.The drive down yesterday was so lovely that I drove a bit slower than usual, luckily traffic was very light for the majority of the journey. Such beautiful autumnal trees along with still mirror-like lochs (all three of them) lifted my heart. Firstly I did a detour to collect a JL order from Waitrose where I had a great chat with one of the staff, another cheery few minutes. Now my car is in good hands and I have a Mazda C-5 manual, I've driven an automatic for nearly three years so I took a bit of time to remember to change gears. 😀 I already miss my own car though it's a decent substitute. This morning the weather has reverted to horrible. There was rain all night, now the wind has risen and is very blustery. Not nice. I'm taking a friend up to Oban for her shopping. Her husband is still recovering from foot surgery. As I didn't do any shopping yesterday I'll get it done now.The aurora was out in full strength here, hours of spectacular bands of pinks, greens and reds. I didn't get any photos (wasn't going out in my pjs) though neighbours and those further up the coast a bit did. Another thing to gladden my weary heart. Good old Mother Nature will always turn up trumps before we are sent back to the hell of darkness, cold and rain. 😂
Most of the spring bulbs which were planted last year didn't have a chance because of the rain, they must have rotted so I'm not bothering again. There's a few hardy ones which popped up a few years in a row so I'll be content with them.
@SO - I hope that you were able to pull out some happy memories of your OH yesterday. The first anniversary is the most raw one. 💕
On with my day. I hope that everyone is safe and warm.9 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start @Scarlet
Thank you everyone for your kindness and support yesterday, it really meant so much
Didn't sleep well again last night and awake at silly o'clock.
Chilly this morning the sky is clear and no rain forecast. Will strip the bed in a minute and get the wm on, hopefully it will line dry.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Morning, chilly start but set to be a sunny day. The Aurora was here last night, I didn't see it but plenty of photos on fb.
Izzy, exactly the same thing happened to me yesterday. I have a slight wheat intolerance but after having a sandwich I had terrible stomach pains. When I thought back I'd had toast for breakfast and a sandwich lunchtime. Going to ease off bread now, but stuck for what to have for breakfast as I'm not a cereal person.
Dgd went back to school Wednesday so we're hoping the problems are sorted out. All seems ok atm but time will tell. She was happy to go back so that's positive.
Today off to Lidls for the gammon and a few other bits. Didn't go yesterday due to the stomach problem. Will also fill the car while out.
Hugs to anyone who needs them, have a good day. Love to all x

Morning everyone I’m off out soon to do my volunteering at the food waste seen some beautiful pictures of the northern lights but I was tucked up in bed reading. SO every year is difficult but I agree with Gers the first is the hardest I’m sure there was tears of sadness but I hope you had some happy tears as well. Remmie I had no bread yesterday and it’s the first time for 3 weeks I haven’t had stomach pain and I felt so much better in myself I’m going to keep going with it . Nice and bright here but it’s freezing cold we had a frost when I got up I will be wearing my gloves to unload the van . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning everyone
I'm so happy I saw the Northern Lights last night - the first time I've seen them and they were beautiful. I went outside with my phone but couldn't see anything, turns out my phone is too old! A friend of DDs was driving around seeing them so she came up to my house so I could see them through her phone and there they were opposite my house! Then we drove down to the beach where there's no street lights and they were spectacular, we could see them without the camera down there too - there was a row of cars with people just gazing at the sky. And yes I had my jarmies and dressing gown on!
I ordered mam a Tesco delivery this morning so I'll go down there this morning and help her put it away and also do dads banking, then I'll get the bus down to work. Little one was exhausted after her morning at school yesterday so DD is keeping her at home today. She's coming up to mine when I finish work for a sleepover and will be here most of tomorrow which will be lovely. She's planning lots of craft activities for tomorrow.
Right better get moving, hope everyone has a good day today x11 -
Morning all from a frosty Mehefinland.
Envious of all you lucky people who saw the aurora last night. It was seen locally (in the most southerly bit of Wales) but I have the Aston Martin factory to the North of me and the light pollution from there is horrendous!!
The guys were really stirred up this morning with the frost. Lots of galloping around (well 2 of them, Scooby keeps out of the way!) and general silly-ness. Not sure if it was because it was cold, or they had spotted next doors pigs.
Walking Cooperdog again later. Knee is improving on the invalid, but they are off on hols to Spain a week Saturday so it doesn't need to be aggravated by doing too much too soon.
May squeeze in a tip run later if there's a slot - we have to pre-book here. Better in some ways as least you are not stuck in a queue of cars for ages .
Hugs and spoons as always.

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
No Northern Lights here in greater London, but my friends further into Kent saw them and have posted photos on FB.
Glad you got the car sorted @Gers
Hugs @silver-oldie x
Glad DGD has returned to school @remmie x
DH brought a load of clothes down from the loft yesterday. I will go through them tonight and I’m hoping most of it can go to charity. Could pop it on V!nted but not sure I have the time or inclination! He also visited the tip – no booking here anymore (did have to during Covid) but he didn’t have to queue thankfully. I shared a bottle of wine with a WI friend last night. Was good to have a catch up and a giggle, blooming cold on the walk home though!
Have a good day all.
