Morning everyone
Wet and windy here, looks like it will be a repeat of yesterday.
I'm just finishing my breakfast then I need to go out for some shopping - I don't need much just some fresh fruit and bread and rolls.
SO - I hope you can manage to think of happy memories today - take care of yourself x
I better get sorted to go for the bus, hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Good morning everyone, nice bright day so far.I didnt post yesterday, had a busy morning setting up DH new laptop & ordering a new tumble dryer which is arriving in an hour or so,then I was out with my cousins for lunch.I've had to move all the towels etc. that were on the shelf above the TD, which is now in the hall ready for them to recycle. Have an Oc. order coming too- just hope it's not the same time!Derek I was very disgruntled to find a pair of sandals I hadnt worn for a year parted with their sole when I was crossing the school field with DGS, unwearable- I felt daft hobbling along with it dangling off my foot. They certainly weren't 25 years old though!Silver-Oldie, my thoughts are with you today, lots of hugs.DP1, glad little one is back enjoying school.Right better go and get ready for the shopping. Take care.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10

Afternoon all, I'm late today but I do have an excuse. Yesterday we managed to get Dad in the car but I think he thought he was parachute jumping when he got out and frightened us both. Thankfully the sm wasn't busy and we wandered round at our leisure, all went well until we were at the packing bench and I felt faint so had to be helped to a seat, very embarrassing. I had another bout in the carpark so Mr Fix It stepped in and put the trollies away while I sat in the car with Dad.
Today Mr Fix It had to go for his flu jab so we decided to go to the GC afterwards to look around and I found a couple of items to put away for the DGC for C. We went to the in-store bakery where we couldn't resist their ice slices then visited the coffee shop. I was going to complain that there was something in my coffee when I realised I'd lost part of my tooth so I had to get an emergency appointment at my dentist. Thankfully they fit me in within the hour, can't fault their service at all, but that's the second one that has crumbled this year. I'm really falling apart at the seams !
Home now and the wm is on as the sun is shining but the wind is cool, don't know how much it will dry outside but it will have a blow.
SO many hugs from me for today.
Take care all

Afternoon all the wanderer returns I have been reading along but have just felt totally drained with real life especially Mon-Wed when I have DGS I had made the announcement on the family chat that when DH retires In March 26 i would only be able to commit to odd days child minding so an end was in sight and we booked 3 major long distance holidays for 2026. Cue DGS 2nd birthday at the zoo and DD2 announced she is expecting another baby in March 25 so my child minding days are ending 1 year early I will miss him terribly but the broken nights are just becoming too much for us so that bit i won't miss .
Today we are having the kitchen sprayed to avoid a whole new top to bottom renovation will be having virtually the same colour cream so all the work tops, wall and floor tiles will still match but the outer coatings were starting to peel but after 20 years i am not surprised.
Right i promise Thursday - Sunday I will be back to my usual boring posts xx
SO Thinking of you today xSlava Ukraini12 -
Hi all,
Still here! Still not moved, and it can’t come quick enough for DH who’s MH is pretty poor right now L Hoping for end of November, but our buyer wants to organise a damp survey just to allay his worries…..
In OS style, I’ve decluttered the bathroom cabinets and am using up products/not buying any more. I have found a solid shampoo bar and a hair mask, so will be using those up instead of buying more shampoo/conditioner. Plus we are being very mindful about only buying exactly what we need food-wise as need to run the cupboards/freezer down.
DH is up in the loft this afternoon and will bring down some things to sort through – tip/regift to family members/CS. I know for a fact that there’s a papier mache volcano that one of the children made for a science project – my youngest is 20! Why do we keep ahold of all this stuff?!
Hope the hire car/swopover goes smoothly today @Gers x
Take it easy @nannywindow x
Will be interested to hear about the new heating @snoozer – we might go down that route with the new house.
Great to hear DGD is back at school @dp1 x
Great to see you @bellabella and congratulations on the newly expected grandchild x
Sending hugs to @silver-oldie today – thinking of you xx
Have a good day everyone
