Meter cupboard key

I've gor a meter cupboard in the block of flats where I live, and someone has locked it. What key do I need to open it? I like to take meter readings twice a month, so need access.

You need a copy of the key to the cupboard door! We have a similar set-up in the flats where I live. Maybe the management company, to who you pay service charges, would be able to provide you with a copy of the key. Alternatively you could borrow the key from a neighbour and make a copy yourself.

As far as I am aware, those keys are all the same. You can pick them up for a couple of quid at a DIY shed or online.0

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Could you ask a neighbour to lend you a key and:
1. Open the door
2. Photograph the key to get the right one.
Looks to me as if it could be a security bolt key or a tapered square key.0 -

Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Would need a straighter on shot so you can see down the barrel but would expect it to be a security bolt/deadlock and so the key linked to above by EssexExile would be the one but there are probably cheaper non-Yale versions available.0
